Directed Studies

Specifically designed for engineering students.

A directed study is an independent learning experience in which the student works on Engineering Degree subjects in English or Spanish and reinforces the necessary basic knowledge (mathematics, statistics...).

It is an optional program, especially for those who may find additional support convenient.

Online registration

International students at UC3M have to register for courses through an online platform that allows them to select the available courses.

Below, we explain the steps to follow and the deadlines.

1. Activate your email account.

Follow the instructions on this web page to activate your UC3M email account.

This step is very important, as the user and password chosen will be necessary to access the enrolment platform.

2. Check the course offer. From July 18th.

In this first phase you will be able to see the subjects offered and the schedules.

We recommend that you take advantage of this period to plan your semester. Each subject may have different groups and schedules and it is important to take this into account to avoid overlapping.

ACCESS TO THE APPLICATION. Enter your user ID (for example 100123456) and the password you chose for your e-mail. AFTER LOGGING IN, CLICK ON "GESTIÓN DE PREMATRÍCULA".

3. Subject selection . From August 29th at 1 pm until September 8th.

• You can select any group with free places when you enter the application.
• We recommend that you have previously prepared a timetable with alternative subjects and groups in case there are no free places in the ones you want to choose.
• Remember that the Bachelor's Degrees in the same area of knowledge have similar subjects. The application has a search engine that can help you find them.
